I have a handful of promotional models available to work at booths during the trade show. They are friendly, attractive and well spoken, and can help you promote your products or cover for you during lunch. The trade show offer is $20 per hour for a newer model or $25 per hour for a more experienced person. Bookings will be accepted for 1 hour or more. You can provide clothing with your brand for the models to wear while representing you at the booth. Please contact me by Tuesday at noon if you are interested or would like further information. Calling All Volunteers!
We’re relying on your generous personalities for some help …
Local Biz Expo – Wednesday, October 28th from 10a.m. to 8p.m.,
General Motors Centre in Oshawa
This year OSEB is partnering with the Durham Region Local Training Board to bring you a bigger, better and more exciting trade show. Featuring this year’s past graduates along with excellent Government resources you may not be familiar with, it’s truly a year of branching out and growing from past experiences! There are many more details but right now we’re looking for kind souls who would be willing to give up some time to come out and volunteer that day. You can help for the full day or any portion of the day. Thank you in advance, we think you will find the show beneficial and interesting.

OSEB Trade Show Marketing Drive – Help Us!
We are happy to inform you that the Trade Show advertising is gaining momentum; and during these final days approaching the event a huge marketing drive is now on to ensure the success and promotion of YOUR show. With this in mind you will find below the official ‘Local Biz Expo’ Advertising Poster (put together by Kokoriyo Printing and On Top Marketing), and we are encouraging all recipients to self promote the show by downloading 10 posters each and placing them in areas of high visibility. Also forward the information on to all of those in your local Durham e-mail address book, encouraging them to come out and, if you are a participant, support you at your first trade show unveiling. If you are a past grad planning to attend, kindly help us out by doing the same!
There will be much to see and do during the day and many businesses will be offering trade show specials, discounts and of course individual booth raffle prizes. Additionally there are total show prizes of lap top computers and other worthwhile prizes. If we all make the effort to do this we can expand trade show attendance and cash in on the opportunity for you all to have more exposure to your products and services.
Also below is a 2009 Guest Pass for you to forward on to your contacts. While there is no fee to attend the Trade Show, this still personalizes your emails to others and helps us keep track of where all our attendees heard about us.
Remember good marketing is the key to success, so help us ensure yours by taking the time to self promote this fabulous show.

Have You Signed Up??? October 15, 2009

We have over 85 booths spoken for by close to 100 businesses for the October 28th Local Biz Expo, not quite the 100 booths we are aiming for. If you have signed up, fabulous and we are doing all we can to make this a success for you. The posters went out today, there will be coverage on CBC, CTV, local TV and a massive advertising program on Q 107 and perhaps even bigger is a Social Media blitz starting soon.
If you have not signed up and just by chance could use some more business opportunities in the cold winter months ahead it is not to late. A special price of free is available to you. It is not difficult with some imagination to pull together a professional looking booth. We have already created the nice table draped in a professional cloth and professional drapes to separate you from others so you stand out. A little imagination can create a booth draw and before you know it you will be ready to talk to lots of potential clients.
My only fear is that you get too busy!!
